Sara Gilio and Hannah Herrick’s chemistry on the volleyball court dates back long before their days dominating at Oswego.Gilio and Herrick were pre-teens when they started their volleyball careers at Digtown Volleyball Academy, a Kendall County-based youth volleyball club. Herrick later moved on to Sports Performance Volleyball in Aurora, and Gilio followed a year later. They were also teammates at Traughber Junior High.“She’s been somebody I’ve looked up to since I was little,” Gilio said. “She’s been my friend since I was little, but now she’s like my sister, because now we’re on the same court together.”That sisterhood has carried over to the high school level, where the two have piloted one of the region’s premier offenses. On Thursday, they were the one-two punch that knocked out Glenbard East 25-23, 25-7 in the Class 4A Oswego Regional title match, leading the Panthers (24-9) to their fourth straight regional championship. All of those titles have come under fourth-year coach Gary
